WACO, TEXAS - UnionBrands Eateries Texas, LLC, parent company for Union Hall Waco located at 720 Franklin Ave. Waco, TX has just announced the welcoming of two new vendors, who should be ready to greet new customers within 30-45 days, pending onboarding and training.
Cool Cat Shades, the first non-food vendor in 4 years of Union Hall’s existence, will take station 10, establishing itself as the trendy place to purchase affordable, high-quality sunglasses. Owner/operator Dana Bartels says she will differentiate herself by offering superior customer service, with over 200 styles to choose from. Bartels, who grew up in Waco and attended Baylor University, spent 15 years living in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, operating Kool Shades of Kona, before returning to Waco in 2019, to be closer to family.
Dana’s favorite reason for choosing downtown and Union Hall: “Being able to chat with folks from all over Waco, other parts of Texas, and even the Country, all while showing them sunglass styles they may not have seen or tried before.”
Those already familiar with Mac’s Fry House, currently serving up southern comfort dishes from owner/operators Tasmin and Larry McDonalds local food truck, will now be able to experience their famous crispy fried chicken tenders and southern collard greens at station 22, inside Union Hall. Mini funnel cakes will be offered dessert, if you have the craving. The McDonalds, originally from North Carolina, arrived in Waco via College Station, after finishing graduate school at Texas A&M and accepting a position here locally. Founding their food truck and catering business in 2022, the McDonalds see their progression into Union Hall as a natural fit for continued stability and visibility for the brand.

Established in 2019, Union Hall Waco has recently updated services and appearances, adding fountain drink stations, reinvented restrooms, increased access points, and repurposing available stations for future vendors.
UnionBrands Eateries Texas, LLC continues to draw on the popular theme of diverse dining options, for family, friends, food, and fun in one contiguous space. Union Hall Waco has maintained average vendor occupancy of 90% with 26 stations since its inception, prompting the company to add a second Location in the West Waco-Woodway corridor for Fall 2023.
Union Grove Woodway will offer an expanded format with 29 Stations, curbside delivery, an indoor children’s pavilion, indoor patio seating with video wall, serviced by an anchor bar, and an outdoor seating area and covered stage for live music and events, serviced by a patio bar. An expanded fountain drink and free refill station will be conveniently and centrally located within the hall.
